The 2020 Royal Oak Schools Foundation Golf Outing
is heading NORTH for a Barbecue!!

Metamora Golf and Country Club is the site of the 27th annual golf outing
It's a brand-new decade and we are kicking it off with something a little different.  The Metamora Golf and Country Club has offered to host this year's event.  Attendees will get 18 holes of golf on a beautiful and exciting course, a welcome breakfast, beverage carts, a dog at the turn and plenty of items to bid on in the silent auction.  But after the golf is finished, we will stay outside in a huge tent overlooking the rolling hills of Metamora Golf and Country Club and feast on a full Barbecue menu prepared on-site!  It includes Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken and all the fixings.  There will be appetizers, salad and plenty of desserts.  And a vegetarian / vegan option too.
Now we understand that Metamora is just a bit longer drive.  37 miles north to be exact.  Since Metamora gave us a great deal on their package, we are going to pass that along to anyone who makes the drive by reducing the price of golf from $200 down to $175 per person ... you have more money to donate via Mulligan Strings, silent auction purchase  or an entry for the "basket of cheer."  Same goes for our post golf luncheon.  If you don't want to golf, and just come for the Barbecue, it's only $20 per plate, down from $25.
We hope to see all the people from last year's outing attend plus a few new faces to check out the world-class course at Metamora Golf and Country Club

You have the option to purchase tickets by downloading and filling out the attached entry form or using our online ticketing system to pay by credit card and enter your team, purchase your lunch or pay for your sponsorship.
Have your company be the hero of the Royal Oak Schools Foundation by purchasing our Executive Sponsorship for $7500, which includes two foursomes, continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf with cart, banquet lunch, sponsorship sign on tee or green, company banner on display, ad in our program book, recognition at banquet, on our website and Facebook and in Your Schools, which is mailed to all Royal Oak residents with a sponsorship mention on cover of program book.  If that level is not for you, we have other options – check out our sponsorship form for more information.
Join us for golf at $175 or BBQ for $20, $150 for a table of 8.  Everyone who participates is a hero in our book.
The Metamora Golf and Country Club is located at 1600 Club Dr, Metamora, MI 48455.  Just take I-75 to Lapeer Road (M-24).  About 9 miles north of Oxford after you pass Brauer Road but before you get to Metamora the course will be on your left.  Just click here for directions.
If you have any questions, or have issues with the online payment system, call Foundation President Scott Brown at 313-570-5703.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Become Part of the Future!
  • The Royal Oak Schools Foundation is a service-based volunteer organization serving the Royal Oak community
  • We provide funding for educational programs to Royal Oak’s public schools
  • Contributions may be tax-deductible
After many years of awarding mini-grants to very grateful teachers, the Foundation is now seeking to focus its funding efforts on targeted initiatives. Rather than scattering funding to many smaller requests, the focus is now on identifying key initiatives that
  1. Have the potential for district-wide impact,
  2. Address specific identified needs
  3. Where possible, provide an opportunity to partner with other groups and organizations, thus increasing the impact of funding.
